Supporting people, leaders, organizations, and communities.

Whether you are leading an organization through change, navigating a personal transition, seeking greater alignment in your life and work, or building healthier communities, you don’t have to do it alone.

Purpose was created to help individuals, leaders, organizations, and communities move through these moments with intention.

Drawing from more than two decades of leadership experience in nonprofit organizations, public health, community development, coaching, mindfulness, and healing practices, I partner with people and organizations to navigate complexity, reconnect with what matters most, and move forward with clarity, purpose, and connection.

About Theresa

For more than twenty years, I have worked alongside individuals, organizations, and communities as they navigate growth, change, and transformation.

My professional journey has included roles in nonprofit leadership, public health, organizational development, consulting, policy and advocacy, facilitation, and community engagement. Along the way, I have led statewide initiatives, developed leaders and teams, managed complex projects, and helped organizations strengthen their impact and navigate change.

At the same time, I have been a lifelong student of mindfulness, personal transformation, and the practices that help us navigate challenge, change, and uncertainty. Much of what I bring to this work comes not only from professional experience, but from my own journey. It has taught me the value of presence, self-awareness, compassion, and the importance of creating space for reflection and meaningful change.

Over the years, I have studied with many teachers, developed a long-standing personal practice, and supported others through these healing-centered approaches. While these experiences may look different from strategic planning, leadership development, or organizational consulting, they are deeply connected. They inform how I listen, how I lead, how I support others, and how I approach change.

Today, these experiences come together through Purpose.

Whether I am supporting an organization through strategic planning, mentoring an emerging leader, facilitating meaningful conversations, or holding space for personal reflection and healing, I bring the same approach: curiosity, authenticity, compassion, and a belief that meaningful change begins with connection.

I believe people already hold much of the wisdom they need. Sometimes we simply need the space, support, and perspective to reconnect with it.

I created Purpose because I believe meaningful change happens when strategy and human connection come together. My hope is to create spaces where people feel supported, challenged, inspired, and empowered to move toward what matters most.

  • In Their Words

“I don't think I would be the harm reductionist I am without knowing Theresa and witnessing the way she advocates and cares for folks. I still remember our first phone conversation. I hung up the phone knowing that I HAD to work with her in whatever capacity I could! It was like she was able to verbalize all these swirling ideas and feelings I had about drug use, and expressed them in such a beautiful, relatable, and clear way. I'll never forget that!”

  • Reflections

"Theresa is one of the most passionate people I have ever met. Her
willingness to bring people together, even ones with profoundly disparate
belief structures, has created crucial and impactful change in our
communities. Her expertise, and open heart are much needed in this work."

  • In Their Words

“ I had the distinct pleasure of working with Theresa as my executive coach for about 8 months. In that time, I was not exactly specific about what I was looking for during our work together but had a few ideas. Theresa was able to take my vague, conversational goals and turn them into tangible working items. Her executive coaching provided me both tools and resources to trust my pause in challenging moments,  believing the root of the problem is possible to find, and just because I’m the director of an office, does not mean I have to have all of the answers in any given moment. She affirmed for me that I could be a work in progress and still be a great leader. I highly recommend working with Theresa and pushing yourself to the next level even if you’re not exactly sure what you’re looking for or what that level is. Trust me, she will get you there.”
